Scope of the Project
The client required a revamp of their existing wordpress website with a new design, load faster, have the ability to upload blog posts and be more SEO friendly in 2 languages- Polish and English. Upon completion of this first stage, the client required the intergration of a Salesforce online ordering system in order to shed their dependence on food delivery services that require large commisions.
Due to the clients design requirements, I first set out on a research phase, in order to seek inspiration from projects that matched the clients design expectations and brand guidelines. Upon the completion of this research, the client recieved 3 design version mockups for the project out of which one was approved.
In order to streamline development and launch as soon as possible the project was divided into 2 stages. The first stage would see the development and deployment of the new website with all the required features except the online order feature. Upon the completion of this stage, the Salesforce backend would be connected, allowing users to make their orders online with ease.
Completion of Stage 1
In order to achieve the clients request for a website that would load fast, be in Polish and English, be SEO friendly, and handle a salesforce intergration, I opted to use Gatsby JS, a React framework. The content management system used for adding/editing content was Contentful as it intergated very well with Gatsby. The code was then hosted on Netlify prior to it being deployed on the client's domain. Total design + development time for stage 1? 86 hours.
Kisho did a great job of the website from start to finish and we love the end result! We have full control over all the content on my website and do not need to call developers as earlier! We look forward to getting stage 2 completed with him
